LAWS Renovations

Our staff and volunteers have been hard at work over the last few months to give the LAWS facility a much needed overhaul and “spring cleaning”. A plan was made and implemented to renovate to better serve our pets.

Before DMS moved in for a week to clean, sanitize, and seal the pet rooms, much preparatory work took place – especially in our main cat room. Those of you who have visited LAWS remember that we had 9 condos and 4-6 individual cages. All of the condos were stripped to the bare walls and disassembled. Condo dividers and screens were removed and materials recycled when possible. The hardworking crew that tackled this job was Glenn, a valuable volunteer and handy person, Scott, a trusted volunteer and foster dad to many LAWS cats, and Carla, from our Board of Directors, who is as handy with a drill as she is with a golf club. Her expertise in drafting will also contribute to a complete revision of the main cat room.
