Unfortunately, the combination of humans not spaying and neutering their pets, prolonged economic recession, and abandonment, have led to an explosion of cats in need of help with reduced levels of donations and adoptions. Although we try to help as many cats and dogs as possible, the kind and caring volunteers and staff of Lakefield Animal Welfare Society can only do as much as resources allow. It is our generous community that helps provide the resources through generous financial gifts to support the mission of LAWS. We are reaching out to our community again to ask you to make a commitment to help the animals in need, every month, by partnering with us and joining our STAR program.
